SUMMARY

Since 1994 I have developed web for a host of large government, media and corporate clients, listed below. Prior to that I worked in radio here in Vancouver, on and off the air, for five years at CKST. Throughout the eighties, after high school, I was a freelance theatrical technician.

My recent accomplishments have been exclusively for Mainframe Entertainment Inc., where I headed up the Web Development Department since February 2000. As Supervisor of Web Development I was responsible for managing teams of developers, programmers, artists and engineers. Over two and a half years I spearheaded the development of an extensive set of web based production tools for their intranet, and was responsible for a host of their public and corporate web sites from story-board to finished product.

After a period of rapid growth, market pressures on the CGI sector, particularly animation production for television, have compelled Mainframe to restructure. Recent downsizing included the phasing out of the Web Development Department. I did, nevertheless, leave Mainframe with a set of tools that are now an integral part of their production pipeline.

SKILLS

Project and human resources management; Marketing plans; Budgets; Specifications; Database Schema; Creative Development & Story boards; Graphic Design; Copy writing; Multimedia, HTML and script authoring, debugging; Deployment & testing; Problem solving.

CONTRIBUTION

I am a positive person who is equally at home, and pulling his weight, whether a team member or team leader. I enjoy both learning and teaching, and supporting the group as a whole in getting the job done. Challenges are actually opportunities to find solutions.
